Historic Milestones during the Visit

During His stay, Kyabje Rinpoche presided over an extraordinary sequence of sacred activities. The visit began with Trelda Tshechu, commemorating the birth anniversary of Guru Rinpoche, and on that same auspicious day Kyabje Rinpoche graciously inaugurated the official KCA website, marking an important milestone in the Centre's development.

Over the weeks that followed, devotees received Kago and blessings, families welcomed Kyabje Rinpoche into their homes, and the community took part in a number of profound Dharma programmes. Among the most significant were the historic consecration of the Nub Namkhai Nyingpo Kundra and the first distribution of these sacred Kundras in Australia, the oral transmissions for Drölchok, Tshigdün Ladrub, and Jangter Ngöndro, the two-day Dechen Zhingdrub, the public Wang, and the Zamling Chi Sang dedicated to peace, harmony, and the well-being of all beings.

The visit also brought enduring sacred monuments to KCA through the consecration of the Vajra Guru Dungkhor at the second entrance to the Centre and the outdoor Shakyamuni Buddha Statue at Kharchu Buddha Point. Together with the final Drölchok and Rabney programme, these events formed a month of blessings that strengthened KCA's spiritual foundation and deepened the living connection between the Centre and Kyabje Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche.

On the penultimate day of His stay at Kharchu Centre Australia, Kyabje Rinpoche expressed heartfelt appreciation to the members of the Executive Committee, Management Committee, the Bhutanese community in Canberra and across Australia, volunteers, sponsors, and all devotees who had served so tirelessly during the visit.

Kyabje Rinpoche also formally endorsed the newly elected Executive Committee and Management Committee members. While many had served previously, several new members had also joined, and Kyabje Rinpoche encouraged everyone to continue working together harmoniously for the flourishing of the Dharma and the long-term development of Kharchu Centre Australia.

Departure from Canberra

On the morning of 18 July 2026, members of the KCA community accompanied Kyabje Rinpoche to Canberra Airport as He prepared to continue His Dharma journey to Adelaide. Even within the ordinary surroundings of the airport terminal, the atmosphere remained deeply respectful and tender, shaped by gratitude for every teaching, blessing, smile, and word of encouragement received during the visit.

Before departure, khadars were offered and final respects were paid. These gestures of devotion reflected not only the sadness of parting, but also the community's joy in having been able to serve Kyabje Rinpoche during such a historic visit.

As Kyabje Rinpoche moved through the terminal and towards the departure gate, devotees remained close by for those last precious moments. A final glance, a final turn, and a final wave became unforgettable expressions of kindness that many will carry in their hearts for a very long time.

Though brief, these moments captured the tenderness of a farewell shaped by devotion. They also reminded everyone that even when physical distance increases, the Guru's blessings do not diminish.
