Historical announcement: the Trelda Tshechu celebration was announced for Wednesday, 24 June 2026, at the property now known as Kharchu Residency at Carwoola.
Trelda Tshechu commemorates the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, the Second Buddha. It is one of the most sacred days in the Vajrayana Buddhist calendar and an auspicious occasion for prayer, merit accumulation, and spiritual practice.
This year's celebration is particularly special as it will be presided over by His Eminence Kyabje Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche, who is currently visiting Australia.
